The research group was officially founded cultural Comelico Superiore, with a deed, 2 November 1984.

The Group adheres to the “Val Badia oriental” (Ladins of the Dolomites bonora) under the “General Union of Belluno Ladins” (Union de Duc de Ladins Belum).

Some years before, during the summer, it began collecting vintage photos from the local population and, at the same time, the photographic documentation of traditional jobs and tools, typical of the buildings, the landscape, the collection of evidence, etc.
They starts photography exhibitions and video screenings, initially in Dosoledo and then, in subsequent years, even in Padola and Casamazzagno; and then again in Costalta, St. Stephen, Campolongo, St. Nikolaus and Danta.

Algudnei is a cultural project with which the Cultural Research Group of Comelico Superiore and the Rule of Dosoledo aim to disseminate the results of research carried out on its territory and the Ladin culture of Comelico, with the aim of providing knowledge and animate the local debate.
The term d’invenzione chosen to indicate this project, “algudnei”, combines in a single words Ladin algu = something, few things, different and linked together, and nei = us,  algu d = something of us
A space to recount some aspects of a rich and ancient culture, whose existence has been severely shaken by the modernity but that has survived, albeit in fragmentary form, and is still able to tell, to speak to us. We believe in this place to establish a link between the past and the future we want to build.
